Dawn Davis
Hello, I am Dawn Michelle Davis, proud member since August 2023, and the true essence of what it means to be the “woman in the middle”. In my family, I am the middle sister and have just happily entered what I believe is the middle stage of my personal and professional life. The stage where I am wise enough to know better, yet young enough to where I am still learning from my mistakes.
When I left home at the age of fifteen, my auntie encouraged me with the saying
“God blesses the child that has her own” and I have lived by it ever since. Book smarts,
street smarts, and a rock-solid work ethic, allowed me to persevere through tough times
and molded me into the woman I am today.
I graduated from Muskegon Community College on the Dean’s List with a Diploma in
Licensed Practical Nursing. I also graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oakland
Community College with an associate’s degree and am currently working at Health
Alliance Plan. I am also the chairperson for the Outreach Evangelism Ministry at Greater
Ebenezer Ministries.
Priding myself on never having all my eggs in one basket I also have two businesses,
a catering business “DawnDaDa’s Soulfood Kitchen & Catering” which incorporates my
love for cooking and bartending, as well as “See What I See Beauty Bar” where I do lashes in brows but specialize in making women feel good about themselves.
Most of my days are occupied with work, (personal & professional), faith, family, and
growing & glowing with my sisters of the Ladies League of Detroit.

The one thing I can say about life is this:
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
Know that. Hold on to that, and never let it go.
